30-Los Nogales Nursery

Los Nogales Nursery is located at the Audubon Center within the 282-acre footprint of Debs Park. With over 6,000 sq. ft. of growing space, Los Nogales is a collaboration between TPF and the Audubon Center to grow locally-adapted native plants for urban restoration projects such as the Los Angeles River revitalization. The black walnut tree (Juglans californica), for which the nursery is named, has experienced extensive habitat loss. Through ethical seed collection and sanitary propagation protocols, we can reintroduce walnut trees and many other locally-important native plants.
